In this section you will build off the previous lessons on chords and learn three concepts to apply to your guitar-based songs and riffs.
Concept 1: 1st inversion chords
Instead of the iii chord, play a I over III chord. For example, play C/E instead of Em7 in the key of C major.
Similarly, instead of playing a vii chord you can play V over the viii chord. For example, play G/B instead of Bm7b6 in the key of C major.
Play around with the chords and write your own song. Try changing up the feel and tempo.
