In Part I. TJ breaks down shredding into two components: left hand and right hand.
For each hand you’ll learn exercises to build your speed and fluidity. What you’ll realize, as you work your way through the following lessons, is that it’s hard to separate the two, fully.
What’s different about TJ’s exercises is they come from him listening and transcribing other musicians, and are motifs he’s developed over the years which not only help him maintain his speed and “shred ability” but also provide him with usable musical tools to use on a gig (or for an Instagram video).
How it works
For each lesson, TJ plays the exercise, explains it, then shows it you slow.
After that, it’s up to you to spend time mastering it. We recommend choosing your favorite exercises and shedding them each for 5 minutes daily.
Don’t just play them once or twice and move on. Build these exercises into your daily routine – that’s the the secret to TJ’s ability to play super fast.
