In Part I you will learn Ruben’s top exercises to help you develop your guitar skills. All the exercises will be in the key of C and are easy to play. If you’re a more advanced player Ruben recommends taking the exercises through all keys and increasing the tempo so they are more challenging.
What you will learn

Here’s an example of everything you will learn in this section:
After completing this section you will be able to revisit the video above and recognise the techniques, scales and ideas Ruben is using and be able to apply them to your own playing.
A note for more advanced players
Throughout this master class you will learn how the simplest ideas, exercises and techniques can be turned into full songs, so make sure you spend a good amount of time applying each exercise no matter how simple it may seem. If you’re a beginner, the following lessons are a great introduction to Ruben’s playing style.
If you are familiar with the following exercises you should develop different variations of the exercises to stretch yourself. And, as always, walking them through all 12 keys to really master them.
Let’s get started with the first lesson where you will learn an exercise to get to know all of the notes on your fretboard.
