Welcome to Nathaniel Murphy’s Master Class on fingerstyle acoustic guitar.
In this class, you’ll learn the fundamental fingerstyle techniques needed to play and arrange your own acoustic fingerstyle songs.
You’ll learn the basics of fingerstyle guitar in Part I, so we recommend starting from the beginning of this class.
It’s easy to build a simple technique into a fingerstyle song. Songs in this style are often focused around a basket of techniques, so we recommend starting off by taking time to master some of the small techniques Nathaniel teaches you in Part I and Part II. Doing so will give you a solid foundation to compose your own stunning fingerstyle guitar compositions.
In Part III, we’ll examine four of Nathaniel’s compositions to learn how he composes and arranges music. You’ll see how he combines techniques to craft a catchy song. Then, we’ll challenge you to apply the same methodology and write your own fingerstyle songs.
To wrap up the Master Class you’ll learn four SongSquads that make use of everything you’ve learned in the class. Nathaniel will also give you and 10 chickin’ pickin’ licks because, who doesn’t love some crazy-fast chickin’ pickin’?
As a bonus, you’ll find interlude lessons throughout the class on various one-off topics.
